I usually share the testimonies and stories of my readers and friends on this blog about Peloton. Today, I’d like to focus on myself as it’s so connected to me, which helped me become who I am today, and hoping that it will help you to make a change in yourself.
Like other obese (if you are one of them who is reading my blog, believe me! I was in your shoes once), I had always struggled with being over-weight too, and it started to affect my life when I hit my thirties.
I used to get tired constantly, out of breath, and started to feel self-conscious about my existing body appearance.
My legs started to swell, and then I was diagnosed with Peripheral Enema (a disease where your legs are swollen due to being overweight and problems with the circulatory system). I couldn’t hang out with my friends or travel with them to some nice place where we could chill together on weekends. And there came hundreds of others life complications.
I realized something needed to be changed; however, I had no idea what needed to be done.
That’s where I discovered this magic equipment, Peloton. I had heard it from a relative of mine and decided to give it a try.
From that moment, my story started with the ambition of losing 43 pounds in just 3.5 months with average combustion of 750 calories a day.
In this blog post, I will take you on my Peloton Weight Loss journey of riding a bike and transforming myself into a person who presents fitness consultations to the people I love. I’ll share everything regarding weight loss, and how it helped to improve not only my body but my mind and soul as well.
The Starting Phase in My Peloton Weight Loss Journey
When I was diagnosed with Peripheral Enema, which I mentioned above, moving my body was a nightmare for me. Watching series for a whole day on my couches, without any physical activity in my daily life, was making my health and physique worse.
Have you been booed by your circle to your current condition? The people I know most often compliment me, including my friends, my girlfriend Sierra, and my colleagues at work (I used to work as a Customer Service representative for a logistics company).
How can I forget those nights of feeling anxious and overwhelmed by such a condition, wondering if I would be able to reboot my life or stick with it?
You must be connecting your story with mine because you might be in the same condition of your life now. as being a woman I can understand, is difficult to handle all these tasks at once. (Hey, listen! Stay positive, I have a blueprint to setback your life that you will enjoy like a charm. It’s a promise!)
I Got Help From An Angel!
My cousin Sierra, who heard about my recent life updates, came from
Calgary with her husband to visit me one day. Sierra suggested trying a Peloton bike as I was afraid of going outside, and she said it’s the best indoor tool and you should try it. And I bought my first Peloton bike in 2020.
To be honest, I had never been much of an athlete and you would have guessed the reason after knowing my prior conditions.
The idea of spin cycling for hours on end was daunting. It wasn’t easy for me. The journey had ups and downs. There was a time when I used to give up occasionally.
The first few rides were a struggle, to say the least. My legs burned, my lungs gasped for air, and I couldn’t seem to keep up with the rest of the class. I found myself feeling frustrated and defeated, wondering if I had made a mistake in investing in the equipment.
What made me more anxious was comparing myself to others. I couldn’t help but notice other obese guys in the Peloton community who seemed to effortlessly glide through each workout, and I wondered if I would ever be able to reach that level of fitness.
I found a paper published at Harvard University by Mathew Solan, where he explained the importance of spinning on the recovery of muscles and can help to gentle the joints. Seemed like a solution to my never-ending worrisome.
After a few rides, I started to realize the importance of small victories as progress is not always linear. Slowly but surely, I saw improvements in my stamina and strength and it was a moment of celebration for me! Thanks, Jack! If you are reading this.
Until now, I have explained how it was challenging for me as a patient of peripheral enema to pedal on a peloton bike and make this equipment a part of my life.

In the next part, I will explain how did I make a schedule of my workout, how I managed it, and what other little things needed to be done.
Finding a Plan
Coming to the main point now, the biggest challenge I faced and I hope you might be facing too that when I started my peloton weight loss journey, I was figuring out setting a workout routine that can work for me.
As you know peloton offers so many options available on their app, I was unsure of where to begin.
But Peloton will not leave you alone because there’s always something for everyone. From cycling to running to yoga and strength training. Peloton offers a variety of workout options that can be customized to fit your needs and goals.
And I got my plan mixed with cycling and strength training for my weight loss journey and to curate myself from the Enema.
The reason for finalizing this plan was that I loved their high-intensity rides which left me feeling energized and empowered at the end of every session. In addition to that, I know the importance of strength training for muscle building and increasing metabolism.
I will also highly recommend it to you because the Peloton platform makes it easy to find the workouts that you enjoy most. You can search for workouts by length, music genre, and even by the instructor, which helps you find someone whose teaching style resonates with you.
How Did I Set My Schedule?
After finding a best-executing plan by the peloton itself, it was time to set a schedule for me.
I believed that to see real progress, I needed to commit to working out regularly and consistently, and that’s the mantra I will stick to it. Believe me! My BF, Jack, was the most important inspiration and support I ever get throughout my journey.
Firstly, I looked at my calendar and figure out the best time to work out. Jack, helped me through this too. As a general recommendation from fitness experts, I blocked off times in the early mornings and evenings that were typically convenient for me.

I also made sure to be realistic about my schedule and my abilities. I knew that I couldn’t commit to working out for an hour every day, so I started with shorter, 30-minute workouts and gradually increased my timing up to 45 minutes, then 1 hour as I got stronger.
I never compromised on prioritizing my rest days. I was instructed that my body needed time to rest and recover in between workouts. I used to take one or two rest days typically on weekend days.
I would suggest you that don’t rush yourself to jump on exhausting objectives. Start with short and slow and gradually improve it until you feel comfortable.
How Did I track my Progress?
Normally, I used to start my day by riding a peloton bike and end my day (after finishing my job) on a peloton bike. Since I was aiming to lose 43 pounds in the next few months, tracking my progress is essential.
Tracking helped me to see how far I had come, identify my weak areas where I needed to improve, and stay motivated to keep pushing myself forward.
The Peloton app offers this convenience to you to track your journey, and I did the same. Although there are many useful apps that you can use, I preferred to remain with the Peloton app as my first gentle partner.
The app offers a range of tools and features that make it easy to track your workouts. I used the app to log on my workouts, track my metric like calories burned (my goal was to burn at least 750 calories at the end of the day) and distance, and see how I was improving over time.

Another method of tracking your progress is taking before and after photos of each day. The same thing I used to do, and it motivated me to do better than yesterday. Jack always reminds me to click my photos of pre and post-workout. He loves me a lot!
Whether it was hitting a new personal best on a ride or reaching a weight loss milestone, I made sure to take time to acknowledge and celebrate my progress. This helped me stay motivated and reminded me that my hard work was paying off.
The Power of Community
The Peloton community was a major source of support and motivation for me throughout my weight loss journey. From the instructors to the riders, the Peloton community of women is full of positive, encouraging people who are all working towards their own fitness goals.
One of the ways I tapped into the power of the Peloton community was by joining a Facebook group for Peloton riders. This group was a great resource for tips, advice, and support from other riders who were also on their own fitness journeys. It was also a great way to connect with other people who shared my interests and goals.

You might be wondering about my diagnosis condition after I started my workout journey.
Yes, the Peloton workout journey had a positive impact on my condition, and the reason for it, I have shared on another blog. I will highly recommend giving a reading for once.
Did I get Success in My Peloton Weight Loss Journey?
The question you should ask is, did I get what I was looking for? Did I become the person that I wished for once before I started my journey?
I can proudly confirm it now! After months of hard work and dedication, I have achieved my weight loss journey with a peloton of losing 43 pounds in 3.5 months. Through a combination of regular workouts, a healthy diet, and the support I get, I was able to shed the extra pounds from my body and life.
But more than just the physical transformation, my weight loss journey with Peloton has taught me so much about myself and my capabilities. It has taught me that I am capable of more than I ever thought possible and that with hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude, anything is achievable.
My weight loss success with Peloton has also given me a new sense of confidence and self-esteem. I feel stronger, more energized, and more confident in my body and my abilities. And this newfound confidence and self-esteem have spilled over into other areas of my life, including my career and my relationship with Jack.
And by staying consistent and persevering through the ups and downs, I was able to achieve my goals and transform my life.
Peloton Before And After 3.5 Months
As you embark on a new journey, you will always be filled with anxiety, doubts, and confusion about whether or not you will succeed.
I was in the same phase before I started my Peloton weight loss journey as I was hesitant enough to think that what I could achieve in just three and a half months.
And now when I look back at my before and after pictures, I feel amazed at the drastic progress I have made in this short period.
If I look back at my past, I was overweight, diagnosed with peripheral enema, sluggish, and lacked the energy to do any physical activity. And after three and a half months, I saw a visible difference in my body and my overall well-being and lifestyle.
My favorite Jeans started to fit better, I feel more energized now throughout the day, and most importantly, I am confident enough in my body.
The crucial point to mention here is that this journey didn’t only impact my physical changes rather it also helped me to develop healthier habits and a positive mindset.
It became possible after setting goals and tracking my progress each month.
In the first month,
I struggled to make a habit of pedaling the peloton and setting good nutrition habits. I lost around 11 pounds in the first month. It would seem a smaller number but it was enough for me to celebrate the moment as I was on the path of rebooting myself.
The second month was more productive and result oriented than the previous one.
During my workout period, I began to feel comfortable. Pedaling on peloton bikes became enjoyable and habitual. Averagely, I lost 17 pounds in the second month.
And life was different for me at the start of my third month with my peloton bike. I have been able to stay motivated and hold myself accountable. I was surrounded by a supportive community and of course, the support of Jack, and I have been able to stay inspired and encouraged and achieve my target of losing 43 pounds (not 43 but 42.67 lbs).
These before and after pictures from my journey serve as a reminder of how far I have come and how much I am capable of achieving with hard work, dedication, and support and I am hopeful that I can make a positive impact in your life too with the message I am trying to deliver.
What Nutrition You Need to Follow
Let’s come to the question that which Peloton diet you should follow. The simple answer would be “A diet that contains the right balance of food for optimum health.”
Here is the simple diet plan I made for myself, and you can follow the same if your nutritionist approves it:
For the morning diet plan, it is better that eat healthy but less.
Start your every morning with a healthy breakfast. It’s not necessary to fill your belly in one go, rather consume less amount of food which would be enough for you for a good start.
My morning diet consists of:
- Whole grains like oatmeal
- Any fresh or frozen unsweetened fruit
- Low-fat milk and yogurt (if you want to add)
- An egg
- Peanut butter
- If you prefer then make a fresh juice of bananas or pineapples, fresh berries or any other fruit you love
- A toast
Doesn’t it look healthy to you yet? Then what does? I was able to get my healthy life back with this diet which is commonly available in every home (I am hoping for).
Add Some Vegetables and Fruits too.
Many nutritionists suggest that you should eat four servings of vegetables and three servings of fruits daily.
I used to add the following items to my diet plan daily:
- Bananas, strawberries, and Kiwi
- Carrots
- Cherry tomatoes
- Cauliflower
- Grapes
- Apples
- And green vegetables
Conclusion
Ahh! Finally, after facing challenges and setbacks, I was able to be consistent in my journey and achieved what I was aiming for.
Here is my story, which is enough to remind you that you still have the power to achieve anything you want. It all started by taking the first step and my cousin, Sierra, and my boyfriend, Jack, was there to support me.
There is more in my Peloton weight loss journey than just losing 43 pounds, and I promise, that I will keep you guys posted as I go along.
